AFR
makes their street head in many different sizes to suit your
application. 180cc, 180cc LT1, 190cc, 190cc LT1, 195cc, 195cc LT4
intake ports are available in your choice of straight, angle, or L98
angle plug versions. These heads feature a 53cc or 74cc for LT1/LT4,
or 68cc and 74cc combustion chamber with a 64cc exhaust port and a
3/4" thick head deck (ideal for nitrous or blower
applications.) The 53cc and 68cc chambers are designed for flat top
or dished pistons; domed pistons will require additional machining.
Standard valves are 2.020 intake and 1.600 exhaust with AFR's
hardened ductile iron interlocking valve seats. The exceptional flow
characteristics, ideal operating range of 2000 rpm to 6500 rpm, 23º
valve angle, and standard valve spacing make this the perfect street
head for 350 cid to 400 cid engines from 1955 to 1986. Also
available for 1987-98 engines with center bolt valve covers and 2
center intake bolts at 72º angle. No special parts are required.
You will not find a head comparable to these at a price this low.
They are fully CNC ported on the exhaust, combustion chambers, bowls
and 70-100% on the intake with hand blending. They feature dual
valve springs with 10 degree keepers and retainers and will handle a
solid or hydraulic flat tappet or hydraulic roller cam with up to
.550” lift out of the box. Custom upgrades are available to fit
